Diasporic Consciousness: Literatures from the Postcolonial World 31.07.2010
Due to globalization, multiculturalism and migration, there has been a change in the outlook of the people. The modern people are rooted in ideas rather than places, in memories as well as in material things. Salman Rushdie is of the opinion that migrants can see the illusionary reality clearly as they have crossed borders. In this context, it would be interesting to examine the effects of globalization and multiculturalism on people from around the world and study its representation in literature. The aim behind this book is to collect and publish papers on migration, identity, hybridity, ethnicity in order to engage in a critical debate regarding these issues as well as to encourage research scholars into critical thinking. The editors invite critical papers on literature from across the globe. Papers should be at least of 10-12 pages in the latest MLA format. Each paper should contain an 8-10 line abstract and a brief biography of the writer. The last date for submission in 31.07.2010
